Whether you are looking to find out if there is an artist lurking inside you, or you just want to have a bit of fun with a paint brush, Dawne offers private and open painting classes for adults and kids, families and friends.
Wiltse Creek Studio is located just minutes from Charleston Lake Provincial Park in the 1000 Islands region and ideally located for a full days adventure. Come paint in the morning before heading off for a picnic and swim. You can leave your canvas here until you are done playing if need be.

Patterns take 5 - 12 hours to complete depending on the pattern and speed of the painter and are done over 1 - 2 days (sessions). Choose a size that works for you.

The price for this class includes individual time with Dawne to plan out your project, vinyl lettering for greeting if desired, but not the cost of accessories like gazing balls or solar lights. Our classes are instructed step-by-step with room for individual expression and combine the joy of painting mixed in with a little bit of teaching. Classes are offered in small groups so that everyone has some individual time for help.
What to wear!
We use high quality, student grade artist acrylic paint that is colourfast for 60 plus years. It does NOT come out of clothing, so please dress down. Aprons are available upon request.
Where do I go?
In the summer, classes are held on the porch at Dawne's house next to the studio - come on up.
When it's too cold for for the porch we paint in the kitchen - the front door is via the porch.
Acrylic Painting Class Prices
If you wish to book a class please check for open dates on the calendar on this page. From June to October, classes are held in the morning so that the studio/store can be opened for noon. If I am behind on keeping up with the calendar, please just ask for a date you would like. Classes include all materials. There are samples of paintings at the bottom of this page and dozens more paintings in the studio for you to get inspiration from.
A 2 hour session with one adult is $60.00
A 2 hour session with one child under age 12 is $45.00
A session with 2 or more adults is $40.00 per person
A session with 2 or more kids is 35.00 per child.
Kids Classes on Saturdays in July and August (ages 7 - 12) $35.00 per child. Scheduled class with up to 6 other kids. Everyone paints the same piece.
Ask about pricing for birthday parties and other events.
Painting with the under 7 crowd
Generally by the time kids are 5 they can tackle a painting but may not have the ability to sit still for a long class. They tend to need more one on one and hands on help.
The best option for this is to come and do a Parent & Child or Grandparent & Child class. There are a few painting samples in a slideshow at the bottom of the page but we can always paint a favourite subject. Email for details.
Kids Summer Paint Classes
Painting classes for kids ages 7 - 12 ish with a few available for mature 6 year olds - you know your child best.
Artist/owner, Dawne Fiegen will guide your child step by step to complete their creative version of this acrylic painting.
All supplies are included. $35.00 per child per session.
9 - 11ish am. Finish time is approximate as everyone paints differently - be prepared to wait.
Dress down for this event. Acrylic paint DOES NOT come out of clothing.

Paint classes are held on the front porch of the main house.
